These Subscription & Billing Terms (“Subscription Terms”) govern your subscription to and purchase of paid features in the Heartbox mobile application (“App”), including Heartbox Pro and any other premium offerings. By subscribing or making an in-app purchase, you agree to these Subscription Terms. These Subscription Terms are part of and incorporated into our Terms of Service. Capitalized terms used but not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms of Service or our Privacy Policy.

1. Scope and Definitions

Scope. These Subscription Terms apply to all users who subscribe to or purchase paid features in the App (e.g., Heartbox Pro), whether on a recurring basis (monthly or yearly) or as a one-time purchase (e.g., lifetime access). They apply in addition to the Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.

Definitions. “Subscription” means a recurring paid plan (e.g., monthly or yearly) that provides access to paid features. “In-app purchase” or “IAP” means a purchase made through the Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android). “Paid features” or “premium features” means features that require a subscription or one-time purchase to access. “Billing period” means the interval for which you are charged (e.g., one month or one year). “Platform” means Apple Inc. (for iOS) or Google LLC (for Android), as applicable.

2. Paid Features and Subscription Types

2.1 Heartbox Pro and other offerings

We may offer premium access under names such as “Heartbox Pro” or similar. The specific features included in a paid offering, and the types of plans available (e.g., monthly, yearly, lifetime), are described in the App at the time of purchase. We reserve the right to add, modify, or remove paid offerings or features with reasonable notice where required by law or by app-store guidelines.

2.2 Recurring subscriptions (monthly and yearly)

Monthly and yearly subscriptions provide access to paid features for the applicable billing period and renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. The price and billing period (e.g., monthly or annually) are displayed in the App before you confirm the purchase. Prices are in the currency applicable to your Apple ID or Google Play account (e.g., local currency). Taxes may be added where required by law.

2.3 One-time purchases (e.g., lifetime)

If we offer a one-time purchase such as “lifetime” or “permanent” access, it is a single, non-recurring payment. Such purchases do not auto-renew. Access is granted for as long as we make the App and the relevant feature available, subject to these Subscription Terms and the Terms of Service. We do not guarantee that we will support the App or any specific feature indefinitely.

2.4 Free trials

If we offer a free trial (e.g., 7 days), the trial period and conditions will be clearly disclosed before you start. By starting a free trial, you may be automatically enrolled in a paid subscription that begins at the end of the trial. Your payment method on file with the Platform will be charged at the end of the trial period unless you cancel before the trial ends. You may cancel during the trial through the Platform’s subscription management (see Section 5) to avoid being charged. We do not provide refunds for charges that occur because a trial converted to a paid period and you did not cancel in time.

3. Auto-Renewal and Billing

3.1 Automatic renewal

Unless you cancel before the end of your current billing period, your subscription will automatically renew for the same billing period (e.g., one month or one year) at the then-current price. You will be charged at or shortly after the start of each new billing period. You authorize the Platform to charge your payment method on file for each renewal until you cancel.

3.2 No refund for partial periods

If you cancel during a billing period, you will not receive a refund for the remainder of that period. Your access to paid features will continue until the end of the current billing period, after which it will end. We do not prorate refunds for cancelled subscriptions.

3.3 Price changes

We may change the price for a subscription for new subscribers or for renewal periods. We will not increase the price for your current subscription during your then-current billing period unless we are required to by law or we give you advance notice (as required by the Platform or applicable law) and the opportunity to cancel. If we notify you of a price increase for a renewal, your continued use after the notice period may constitute acceptance of the new price for the next billing period.

4. Payment Processing and Our Role

All payments for subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed by the Platform (Apple for iOS, Google for Android). We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment card number, billing address, or other full payment details. The Platform is the merchant of record for the transaction. Your payment and billing relationship for the charge is with the Platform. We receive from our subscription and entitlement provider (e.g., RevenueCat) information necessary to grant you access to paid features in the App, such as your app user ID and the status of your subscription or entitlement (e.g., active, cancelled, product identifier). How the Platform uses your payment data is governed by the Platform’s privacy policy and terms.

5. How to Cancel Your Subscription

5.1 Cancellation stops future charges

Cancelling your subscription stops future charges. It does not refund any amount already paid for the current billing period. You will retain access to paid features until the end of the current billing period.

5.2 How to cancel on iOS (Apple)

To cancel your subscription on an Apple device:

  • Open Settings → tap your name (or Apple ID) → Subscriptions (or SettingsApple IDSubscriptions).

  • Select Heartbox and choose Cancel Subscription (or turn off auto-renewal).

  • You can also manage subscriptions at Apple Subscription Management or via reportaproblem.apple.com.

5.3 How to cancel on Android (Google)

To cancel your subscription on an Android device:

  • Open the Google Play Store → tap the Menu (☰) icon → Subscriptions.

  • Select Heartbox and choose Cancel (or turn off auto-renewal).

  • You can also manage subscriptions at Google Play Subscriptions.

5.4 When cancellation takes effect

Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Until that date, you retain access to paid features. After that date, you will no longer have access to paid features unless you purchase again. We do not retain access to paid features after the end of the paid period.

6. Refunds

We do not process payments or issue refunds. All payments are processed by the Platform. Refund requests must be submitted to the Platform:

The Platform decides whether to grant a refund in accordance with its policies. We do not control that decision. If the Platform grants a refund and revokes your entitlement, we will reflect the loss of access to paid features in the App in line with the Platform’s handling (e.g., when we are notified that the entitlement has been revoked).

7. Failed Payments and Suspension of Access

If a renewal payment fails (e.g., expired card, insufficient funds), the Platform may retry the charge or notify you. We may suspend or terminate your access to paid features until payment is successfully completed or you cancel the subscription. We are not liable for any loss of access or data that results from a failed payment. It is your responsibility to keep your payment method and account information up to date with the Platform.

8. Changes to Plans, Features, and Prices

We may change subscription plans, the features included in a plan, or prices for new subscribers or for future renewal periods. We will not change the price for your current subscription during your then-current billing period except as permitted by law or with advance notice and the right to cancel as required by the Platform or applicable law. We may discontinue a particular plan or feature with reasonable notice; we will not charge you for a discontinued plan beyond the period you have already paid for, and we may offer a substitute (e.g., a different plan) where appropriate.

9. Disputes and Platform as Merchant

Because the Platform processes payment and is the merchant of record, any billing or payment dispute (e.g., unauthorized charge, refund request) should be directed to the Platform in the first instance. We will cooperate with the Platform to resolve disputes where we have relevant information. To the extent a dispute relates to our failure to provide paid features (e.g., access not granted after a successful purchase), you may contact us at acfrank@heartbox.life and we will work in good faith to resolve the issue, subject to these Subscription Terms and the Terms of Service.

10. Limitation of Liability (Billing Context)

To the extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to subscriptions, billing, or paid features shall not exceed the amount you paid us (through the Platform) in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. We are not liable for any failure or delay caused by the Platform (e.g., payment processing errors, refund decisions) or by your failure to cancel or update payment information. The limitations in the Terms of Service also apply to these Subscription Terms.

11. Relationship to Terms of Service and Privacy Policy

These Subscription Terms are part of and incorporated into our Terms of Service. By subscribing or making an in-app purchase, you also agree to the Terms of Service. Nothing in these Subscription Terms limits your right to cancel your subscription or our right to suspend or terminate your account under the Terms of Service. Our Privacy Policy describes how we use data related to your subscription (e.g., entitlement status, app user ID); we do not receive or store your payment card details.

12. Governing Law

These Subscription Terms are governed by the same governing law as the Terms of Service. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Subscription Terms or your subscription is subject to the dispute resolution and jurisdiction provisions in the Terms of Service.
