This Child Safety & Age Restriction Policy (“Policy”) describes who may use the Heartbox application (“App”) and how we handle the privacy of minors. It is part of our Terms of Service and is consistent with our Privacy Policy.
1. Minimum Age Requirement
You must be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction to consent to use of the App and to our collection of personal information) to use the Heartbox App. If you are under 18, you should use the App only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, where required by applicable law. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet the minimum age requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into our Terms of Service. If you are a parent or guardian and you allow a minor to use the App, you agree to be bound by our Terms and this Policy on their behalf and to supervise their use.
2. The App Is Not Directed at Children
Heartbox is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The App is designed for use by individuals who are at least 13 years old (or the applicable minimum age in their jurisdiction). If you are under 13, you may not use the App or create an account. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verified parental consent where required, we will take steps to delete that information as soon as reasonably practicable.
3. COPPA Compliance (United States)
In the United States, we comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”) and applicable regulations. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us at acfrank@heartbox.life. We will delete such information in accordance with our Data Deletion Policy and applicable law.
4. No Knowingly Collected Data from Minors Under 13
We do not knowingly collect, use, or disclose personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information as soon as reasonably practicable, except where we are required to retain it by law or where we have obtained verifiable parental consent in accordance with applicable law (e.g., COPPA). We do not target the App or our content at children under 13.
5. Parental and Guardian Responsibility
If you are a parent or guardian and you allow a minor (e.g., someone 13 or older but under 18) to use the App, you are responsible for supervising their use and for ensuring that their use complies with our Terms of Service and this Policy. You may request deletion of your child’s account and data by contacting us at acfrank@heartbox.life and following our Data Deletion Policy.
6. Age Verification
We may rely on the information you provide (e.g., date of birth or age at signup, if collected) and on app-store age ratings and mechanisms. We do not independently verify the age of every user. If we learn that a user is under the minimum age, we may suspend or terminate the account and delete the associated data in accordance with our Data Deletion Policy and applicable law.

8. Relationship to Other Documents
This Policy is part of and incorporated into our Terms of Service. Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect and use personal information, including our commitment not to knowingly collect from children under 13. Our Data Deletion Policy describes how to request deletion of an account and data.
